The Guy Next Door, with the Guy Next Door… reads the tagline at Next Door Buddies. Probably the most boring tagline of the century, but it basically describes what the site is about and has to offer. The guys on the site are all amateurs and most have never appeared on camera before. But, you’ve heard that before about certain sites, and will probably here that again, and again and again. So what makes this site different from other amateur sites? Navigation is one. Hot models is another. Is that enough to warrant a $25.95 30-day price tag? Not especially. But the bonus content being offered with your membership is pretty damn good. Titles like Next Door Male, Next Door Hookups and Stroke that Dick help the exorbitant price tag seem a little less steep and more palatable.

The Next Door Buddies men, like all other Next Door Studios men and women, are comprised of people from all walks of life and all types of backgrounds. We find the guys that appear here in a multitude of ways. Some of them have sought out an appearance on this site, some of them have responded to ads, some have been referred to us by friends and other models, and others are individuals just looking to get into the adult industry.
But how true can that be? We all know sites need a certain angle to reel unsuspecting people in. But true or not, the bait they use to hook us fish is pretty damn hot!
The tour section is pretty extensive. They list the models, their movies, their pictures and an accompanying blurb discussing the shoot and all of its action in detail. Preview sections like this one are excellent since you know who you want to see once you become a member, and having the models’ names and knowledge whether or not they have picture sets, movie sets or both, is very helpful. It also helps to know that once you become a member, the main members’ area looks almost the same as the preview section. It’s not all smoke and mirrors.
Once a member, the site’s navigation is pretty easy to navigate. Links to the right describing About the Guys, Viewer Requests, Member Services, NewsLetter, Video Store and Model Search. About the Guys discusses the site’s models and how they’re chosen. View Requests describes how you can request things for the models to do. An e-mail is set up for that option. Member Services is basically an in depth customer service option for members which is always a welcomed addition. The News Letter is a non-option since they’re “preparing our newsletter now”. In other words, they haven’t gotten around to it. Model Search is like Star Search but you are the star and they are searching for you… to get naked and ready to stroke yourself or others.
Aside from all the above propaganda, what about the main sections of the site; pictures and videos. Well, pictures is also a non-option because they are simply video captures of the site’s movies. Grainy, unclear and a waste of time, stick to the flicks. The movie section is much better with options to view in WMV and QuickTime formats. You’ll find over 30 movies clocking in at over 10 minutes each. Both formats are at 500 kps each, which isn’t that shabby.
One of the model duos that caught my eye in the preview section was the section set featuring Fox and Denny. The site had this to say about them:

Conclusion
Next Door Buddies can’t be considered a cookie cutter site since it has really decent navigation, a cool concept and hot models. The only reason why the site scored so low was the lack of content. The site was launched in Sep. of 2005 and should already have 3 times it present content, if only to keep up with the big gay porn boys already established on the web. The bonus content helps to make up for the lack of content in the main site, but not enough to warrant a higher grade. Once they troll for more boy toys in the streets and in the classified ads, maybe we can bump up the score if they turn up the content.
